Senior Level Designer - LUCASARTS
This was a difficult game to get out the door because it had so many features and was extremely ambitious in scope. The bionic eye/HUD feature was almost a mini-game in and of itself. At the end, there was a virtual reality mini-game that gated progress. The game also featured vehicles including a rover, a spaceship, a jumping spider vehicle, and numerous RC vehicles!
Duties
Responsible for designing and creating 2 single player, 3rd person action adventure story levels.
Took levels from paper designs to fully realized levels.
With 20/20 retrospective glasses on, I think the missions could have been much shorter with a much tighter focus on gameplay. Exploration is fine as long as there're points of interests along the way.
I seem critical of this game only because it could have been so much better produced had there been some major cuts to the game.
